EXODUS Guitarist Doesn't Lose Any Sleep Over What People Say About Him On BLABBERMOUTH.NET
September 24, 2006Heavycore founder Pete Altieri interviewed Gary Holt and Paul Bostaph of EXODUS backstage at Chicago's House of Blues last week. The 18-minute interview touches on a variety of subjects, from the passing of EXODUS' original singer Paul Baloff, to Gary's tumultuous relationship with Steve "Zetro" Sousa, to the impact of "Bonded by Blood", the band's opinion of web sites like BLABBERMOUTH.NET, and more.
On the subject of BLABBERMOUTH.NET, Holt stated, "I mean, it's a great source of information, you know. I have super-thick skin, so what some 14-year-old kid says about me on Blabbermouth does not change… I don't lose any sleep over it. . . I'll just read it to see what's going on with other bands. I'll see a post from our web site that I made, and I don't read the comments. Not that I don't care, [but] I just read it to see what's going on with everyone else."
Bostaph added: "You've gotta take that stuff with a grain of salt, anyway, because people who are thinking that stuff to begin with… It's only a small percentage of people that get out there and make one negative statement, and it looks like the whole world's against you. In reality, what really matters is people that come to the shows. It's all that really matters."
